Vietnamese model faces huge fine for risqué Cannes Film Festival outfit

The red carpet at Cannes Film Festival never disappoints and some have left very little to the imagination with their daring fashion looks.

But it was Vietnamese model Ngoc Trinh who shocked photographers when she stepped out wearing a backless beaded dress that did very little to cover anything, including her derrière.

And now the model is reportedly facing a large fine from the Vietnamese government over the extremely revealing outfit, The Mirror reports.

Her outfit is said to have caused “public outrage” in her home country, according to Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

"Her outfit was improper, offensive and has caused public outrage,” he said.

Others have said the gown “goes against Vietnamese tradition and people should speak out against this uncultured behaviour”.
