Camilla ignites wedding war with Meghan
All eyes are on the royal family this year as they prepare for not one, but two weddings, and a new report claims serious feathers are being ruffled as the bride wars begin.
With everything on track for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s May 19 nuptials, wedding planning hit fever pitch over the weekend, with Princess Eugenie’s announcement she’s to tie the knot with her fiancé Jack Brooksbank on October 12.
Both bride-to-be’s have confirmed they’ll say their ‘I do’s’ at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, and a new report claims Camilla has sided with Eugenie in the lead-up to their big days.
While Camilla may be the wife of Prince Charles, Harry’s dad, the Duchess of Cornwall is said to be helping Eugenie with her wedding prep, instead of her future daughter-in-law, Meghan.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: A timeline of their royal relationship
“Camilla has always had a soft spot for Eugenie and Beatrice, as she feels bad that they’ve been denied official roles with the royal family,” a source told New Idea.
“So to see Meghan, who Camilla says doesn’t even have any royal or aristocratic blood, swoop in and move ahead of them in the royal family has really made her see red.”
Following reports Princess Eugenie was forced to delay her wedding due to Meghan and Harry’s schedules, Camilla is said to be fuming at how Eugenie’s wedding has been completely overshadowed.
Eugenie’s dad Prince Andrew revealed the choice of wedding date was ‘complicated’ due to royal schedules, and Jack’s grandmother, Joanna Newton, hinted there was conflict around the couple’s first choice of date.
“I do know that they’re now not going to get married in September,” the 91-year-old told the Daily Express.
“[Jack] said, ‘We can’t get married in September now so we will have to get married in October’.”
Also said to be a bone of contention is Harry and Meghan’s choice of venue, with the couple taking royal insiders aback when they decided against getting married at Westminster Abbey, where Harry’s brother Prince William tied the knot with Kate Middleton in 2011.
“Camilla… thought it was atrocious [Meghan] and Harry were ruining Eugenie’s wedding plans – that Harry should have known that Eugenie had always wanted to marry at St George’s Chapel,” an insider told New Idea.
