Yahoo Lifestyle Camila Cabello Debuts a “Birkin Bob” Haircut for Fall 2024
As the summer sun slips away and the autumn rain creeps in, we’re seeing a rise in hair transformations. After all, new season, new haircut, or however the old adage goes! Oh, and one of the many styles there seems to be a surge in, you ask? The bob! And luckily, today’s inspo comes straight from our fave Camila Cabello.
Over the weekend, Camila attended the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada alongside a number of fellow pop icons, including Dua Lipa and Gwen Stefani. Now, as excited as we were to watch her on-stage performance (she rode on the front of a BMX bike, FYI), what had us taking beauty notes was her shorter haircut.
I mean, it was only a few weeks ago that she had hip-skimming locks, and now, her hair length sits perfectly on her collarbone!
Camila’s longtime friend and celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos—who has worked on some of the most recognizable heads in the Hollywood game, including, but not limited to, Megan Fox, Kim Kardashian, and Joey King—shared a snap on Instagram of her new ‘do, which he dubbed “the Birkin Bob.”
Although no context behind the name has been shared, we can only assume it was inspired by the British-French actor Jane Birkin. After all, the style does bear similarities to Jane’s own iconic look.
This iteration, however, is a tad longer than the everyday bob. So when you inevitably join the bob brigade, definitely make sure to specify the length with your hairdresser. Whether it be the Birkin, tucked, or laser-cut bob, there’s a style for everyone!
