CAA Signs Playwright, Screenwriter & Novelist Lila Raicek

EXCLUSIVE: New York-based playwright, screenwriter, and novelist Lila Raicek has signed with CAA for representation.

Raicek’s new play My Master Builder, directed by client Michael Grandage and starring Ewan McGregor, will debut on London’s West End this coming spring. Over the summer, her debut novel, The Plunge, will be published by HarperCollins.

Raicek also has the play Fire Season, inspired by Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, in pre-production. Additionally, she’s writing Tulla, a play about Norwegian painter Edvard Munch for Broadway production company Seaview.

In television, Raicek is writing two original pilots, 9 Parties and Pulse, for Fifth Season and Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories. Previously, she adapted Swedish thriller Blinded for Keanu Reeves; New York Times bestseller The Couple Next Door for Paramount TV and Sugar23; Three Wishes, by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty, for Netflix; and 99 Days for Warner Bros.

Raicek wrote for Darren Star’s Younger and served as Executive Story Editor on Gossip Girl for Max. She holds an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University and continues to be represented by attorney Darren Trattner of Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
