Beyoncé Square Dances With Blue Ivy In Netflix’s NFL Halftime Show; Post Malone, Shaboozey Among Guest Performers
It was a white Christmas on Wednesday as Beyoncé made a Houston homecoming in classic Texas style.
Clad in all white, the 32-time Grammy winner rode into NRG Stadium on a white horse, performing “16 Carriages” and her cover of the Beatles’ “Blackbiird” to kick off her A Cowboy Carter Christmas NFL halftime show at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game.

Taking the field with a group of white-clad dancers and marching band, Bey continued with her songs “Ya Ya” and “Riverdance” before she was joined by Shaboozey. She continued with “Sweet Honey Buckin'” and “Levii’s Jeans,” for which she was joined by Post Malone.
Beyoncé then sang her version of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” while sitting atop the back seat of a moving convertible, before taking the stage and singing her debut country album’s lead single. “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
“I’m so honored to be in Texas right now,” she said. “It’s only right that we do ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ for the first time in Houston, Texas on Christmas.”
The artist was then joined by her daughter, 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, who joined in on the square dance choreo with her mom.
Although Jay-Z didn’t join the family hoedown, Bey’s halftime performance comes after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell previously addressed the league’s partnership with Roc Nation amid the rape allegation against her husband.
“We are aware of the civil allegations and Jay-Z’s really strong response to that,” he said at a press conference this month. “We know obviously that litigation is happening now. But from our standpoint our relationship is not changing with them, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.”
Jay-Z was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 in a recent refiling of a civil lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
