Céline Dion is paying tribute to the person who made the biggest impact on her life.

On December 17, 1994, the Grammy winner surprised fans when they learned she had tied the knot with longtime partner and manager René Angélil at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Canada. The two had known one another since 1980, and even though the couple were 26 years apart in age, the public display of their love was something many adored seeing. The duo also welcomed son René-Charles in January 2001 and twins Eddy and Nelson in October 2010, expanding into a family of five. But in January 2016, Céline and her children were heartbroken when René died of throat cancer at age 74.

Now, on what would've been Céline and René's 30th wedding anniversary, the singer wrote a heartfelt message about how René's presence is still felt years after his death. "You still fill our hearts, every day. You are everything for us. We miss you so much," she wrote alongside a photo from their wedding day on Instagram. "Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour! Celine xx … René-Charles, Eddy and Nelson."

When fans saw the heartbreaking way Céline paid homage to René on what would've been a momentous occasion, they rushed to the comments to send her words of support.

"This is what true love is supposed to be 🥰," one person wrote. "Thinking of you Celine. What a special bond you had, he is always right beside you. Sending lots of love ❤️," another penned. "You showed the world how love is supposed to be. I have no doubt he is looking down, today especially and is just so proud of you and the boys. Happy Anniversary. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍," a different follower added.

Even though Céline is giving her late husband all the flowers on an important day for her, it's important to note this isn't the only time she's made a public acknowledgement of her love for René after his death. Back in January 2022, she posted a rare black-and-white photo of René on Instagram, sharing her thoughts about him not being alive to support her and their children.

"I would be lying if I said I’m fine, I think of you at least a hundred times, cause in the echo of my voice I hear your words just like you’re there," she captioned the image while quoting her 2019 song "Courage." "I miss you – Céline xx … "

What's more, when she spoke to People about her wedding day in April 2024, Céline explained how there's not one thing she would've changed about that day.

"This is a moment that will be with me for the rest of my life," she said at the time. "The dress couldn’t have been big enough. I could’ve had three times the size on my head. I could’ve had six different dresses that night because he [René] was, and still is, such a wonderful human being. He brought [out] the best in me. He really did."
