Burger King Fans 'Can't Wait' for Spooky Menu Collab Just in Time for Halloween

Just in time for Halloween, Burger King is reportedly preparing to launch a spooky menu collaboration featuring The Addams Family.

On Friday, Sept. 13, food blogger Markie Devo teased via Instagram four items expected to hit Burger King menus on Oct. 10.

Partial descriptions of the items were available through a Burger King employee. They include:

  • Wednesday Whopper: "Purple bun, beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, possibly* Swiss cheese, possibly* ketchup."

  • Gomez’s Churro Fries: "Fried crispy pastry dough tossed in cinnamon sugar, served warm with chocolate sauce."

  • Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake: "Soft serve, chocolate cake batter fudge, brownie bite, topped with sprinkles."

  • Thing’s Rings & Other Things: Burger King's regular onion rings but in a special carton.

Although Devo noted it was unclear if there would be Addams Family toys, he reported there would be a special crown.

In the comments, Burger King fans reacted to the reported Addams Family collab. Many were particularly thrilled by the cinnamon-sugar treat, with one writing, "The CHURRO FRIES THO 😍."

Another commented, "The churro fries 👏👏," while someone else echoed, "I almost 🏃‍♀️ to ubereats for the churros and shake lol😂."

Others were looking forward to the Halloween menu offerings as a whole, with one fan declaring, "Definitely getting it 🖤," while another exclaimed, "Can't wait! 🖤🎃😍."

Meanwhile, some BK fans wondered how the purple Whopper bun might affect things later, with one Instagram user writing, "I know a toilet gon hate to see me coming after that purple bun 🔮🤣."

"Curious to know what kind of ending result will be after eating that whopper?" a second commented. "Similar results to the black buns from a few years back? #IYKYK."

Still, other Instagram users lamented the possibility that the Addams Family collab might replace Burger King's Ghost Pepper Whopper, which debuted in October 2022 and appeared again in 2023.
