Bunnings fans race to nab $99 swinging 'cloud'

Bunnings fans are racing to the shops to grab a giant hammock that some have likened to a 'cloud'.

The Hangout Pod, which Bunnings fans initially went nuts for in January this year, is now just $99, down from $299.

Fans took to Facebook to share their thoughts on the hammock with many marvelling at the discount on offer.

"This is the single most best thing you will ever buy. I bought one at full price and my family all love it," one user shared.

Many also said their local Bunnings had them on clearance for $199, but had been able to get them for $99 after seeing others do the same.

"Called my local Bunnings, they said it was on clearance but for $199," one person wrote. "I asked if they price match other Bunnings... she said she would ask as they wanted to get rid of the [stock] so I got it for $99."

Apparently, the hammock takes about 10 minutes to assemble and disassemble and can hold 200kg. It also comes with a mosquito net and rain cover.

When they were first released earlier this year, shoppers were equally excited.

"We have only had ours for about a week," one user wrote in January. "It was easy enough to put together (definitely a two-person job) and everything seems great quality.

Our children spend a lot of time in it, highly recommend!"

"I have one and it's so relaxing and comfortable!" another shared.

"At $400, I’ve been trying to talk myself out of getting one - these comments aren’t helping me," someone else joked.

Others said it would be perfect for camping or a day at the beach, while many also said their dogs would love them.

One woman asked what could have been the most important question, "More importantly, can you get in/out after a few glasses of wine!"

"Haven’t tried that yet but I’d say make sure your glass is empty trying to get out," another responded.
