Bunnings $4 Fiddle Leaf Fig sparks frenzy

Bunnings Australia may have officially won over every single plant lover in the country by releasing a mega cheap version of one of the most popular indoor plants around.

Social media has been blowing up with shoppers sharing their excitement after discovering Bunnings was selling ‘baby’ Fiddle Leaf Figs for a bargain $4.

Bunnings are selling baby figs for $3.75. I think I’m in love,” was one post in a ‘Crazy Indoor Plant People’ group on Facebook.

The post quickly received hundreds of comments as news of the bargain spread, with plenty of people revealing they had been able to get their hands on the tiny plant from their local Bunnings as well.

“OMG how cute are these,” one person wrote.

“I got one the other day at Bunnings Ulladulla,” another shared.

While a third posted a photo of their ‘baby’ fig, writing: “I got my new baby from Bunnings too $4.95 in Wollongong.”

The fashionable indoor plant can easily set you back $200 or more for a larger version.

“So much for our $300 banga,” one person lamented, having clearly spent big already.

And if you’re worried this tiny version will take a little too long to grow, the group was quick to reassure anyone that with the right care it won’t take long.

“Don’t water them too much, don’t keep them in direct sun – fiddles like a nice, warm spot and a cup of water a week. That’s it!” one comment read.
