The actress and her daughter Rowan told PEOPLE about the incident Glamour's Women of the Year Awards
Brooke Shields' canine just had a field day in her closet.
At the 2024 Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the actress, 59, and her daughter Rowan Francis Henchy told PEOPLE about a recent incident in which Shields' pet ate a pair of her designer shoes.
When asked about keeping in touch while Rowan is away at college, the 21-year-old said that while they communicate "every day," her mom is "not great with when messages are sent."
"Even today in the car, I sent a photo from her phone to me three days ago. We had a conversation about it. The dog ate one of her shoes," she recalled. "She goes on her phone, she goes to our text and she goes, 'The dog did it again,'... [I said], 'Mom. That was four days ago. I was sitting next to you. You sent me the text from your phone."
Shields laughed off the misunderstanding, before sharing, "They were really nice shoes. They were a little Celine number."
Rowan interjected with, "She has good taste."
"She only seems to eat the good stuff," Shields added.
For the New York City event, held at The Times Square EDITION, Shields and her eldest daughter coordinated in shimmering gold and silver outfits. The duo also co-hosted the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.
