"She sees all the support and love," Brie said of sister Nikki, who filed for divorce from Chigvintsev on Sept. 11
Brie Garcia is sharing an update about how her sister Nikki Garcia is doing amid her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev.
On the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie explained that her sister would not take part in the episode due to recent events, which also included Chigvintsev’s arrest on suspicion of domestic violence on Aug. 29.
"Nikki isn’t here because, as you all know, she’s going through something personal in her life," Brie said. “And she just asks for her privacy for her and her family, so we’re going to give that."
"But she sees all the support and love," she added. “And we’re always grateful for all of your love and support, so thank you all for that.”
Brie shared that Nikki planned to return to the podcast the following week.

This announcement came just days after the former WWE wrestlers were seen out together shopping for pumpkins in Napa Valley , Calif. on Sept. 20. Nikki was not wearing her wedding ring, as the outing came just a week after she filed for divorce from the Dancing with the Stars alum.
Nikki filed for divorce nearly two weeks after Chigvintsev, 42, was arrested on a charge of corporal injury to a spouse in Napa Valley, Calif., on Thursday, Aug. 29. Documents previously obtained by PEOPLE show that he was arrested and then booked in the Napa County Jail, where he was charged and given a $25,000 bail before being released in less than an hour. While it was never explicitly confirmed, Nikki is presumably the spouse in question.
A rep for the Total Bellas star later confirmed to PEOPLE that she filed for divorce on Sept. 11 and "continues to ask for privacy for her and her family at this time."
In her petition, obtained by PEOPLE, Nikki requested sole legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Matteo, allowing Chigvintsev visitation. She also requested the court terminate spousal support for both parties.

Two days later, on Sept. 13, Chigvintsev filed a response requesting joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son of Matteo and for his estranged wife to pay spousal support in addition to his attorney fees.
"At this time, Mr. Chigvintsev will not comment on any pending proceeding," Chigvintsev's attorney Ilona Antonyan told PEOPLE at the time. "The parties are focused on co-parenting and working together for the best interests of their son."
