The actress lands her own Regency-era instrumental cover weeks after her 'Bridgerton'-themed birthday bash

Jennifer Lopez is getting the queen treatment from one of Bridgerton’s composers!

Two weeks after the singer/actress hosted a Bridgerton-themed 55th birthday party — complete with guests dressed in ball gowns, an orchestra and horse-drawn carriages — the season 3 composer of the hit Netflix series is gifting J.Lo fans with a throwback twist.

On Friday, Aug. 2, composer Archer Marsh posted an Instagram Reel featuring his orchestral version of her breakout hit "Waiting for Tonight." Lopez reposted the Reel to her own Instagram Stories.

The clip included a photo of the Atlas actress looking regal as she sat in her best Regency-era attire. The photo, which was taken at her July 20 birthday party in the Hamptons, New York, was set to a familiar tune.

The single, which was released in 1999, will celebrate its 25th anniversary this September.

The sultry dance song was featured on J. Lo’s debut studio album, On the 6 — which also included fan favorites such as “If You Had My Love,” “Let's Get Loud,” and more.

Waiting for Tonight” went on to be nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards, where it received the MTV Video Music Award for best dance video. Additionally, Lopez performed the hit song on television programs such as Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve and the 11th Billboard Music Awards.

Marsh teased the tune ahead of its release with two behind-the-scenes clips of his orchestras playing the song, both outside and in what appeared to be the inside of a professional recording studio.

Bridgerton is known for showcasing orchestral versions of popular songs.

On June 11, Netflix revealed the tracklist for Bridgerton's season 3, part 2, saying covers of songs originally by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Coldplay and more would be featured.

The exact ​​instrumental covers are Swift's "You Belong with Me," Grande’s “POV,” Coldplay’s “Yellow,” Demi Lovato's "Confident," Ellie Goulding's "Lights" and Imagine Dragons' "Thunder."

Some artists have been featured on more than one occasion, such as Grande's “thank u, next” in the series premiere.

For Lopez’s Bridgerton-themed birthday bash, she channeled her best Lady Whistledown for the recap.

"Dearest Gentle Reader… And a splendid evening was had by all," the Maid in Manhattan star wrote as the caption to her Instagram video.

Her guest list included her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, and others close to the actress. However, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Lopez's husband Ben Affleck was not in attendance.
