The Season 3 premiere was watched by 3.6M viewers in its first seven days on Netflix, according to official UK streaming service ratings supplied by overnights.tv.

The debut episode outperformed Season 2’s opening installment, which was watched by 3.4M in March 2022. Season 2 centered on the love story of Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Miss Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

Bridgerton’s return was the third most-watched streaming title in the UK this year, beaten only by Netflix’s Fool Me Once (6.3M) and Season 3 of Amazon Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm (5.1M) over seven days.

Bridgerton has dominated viewing on streaming services over the past week, with all four episodes topping the list of most-watched shows and films.

The figures only include people watching on television sets, meaning that viewing on mobile devices does not feature in the numbers.

Bridgerton’s success in the UK has been mirrored globally. The Shondaland show went straight to the top of Netflix’s most-watched English-language TV series with 45.1M views.
