Breakups and heartache for Bachelor in Paradise contestants
It’s break ups galore following the finale of the second season of Bachelor in Paradise last night.
With almost every relationship formed on the show coming crashing down in record time, it looks like the show mission to help its contestants find true love, has fallen flat on its face.
Alex Nation was the most recent contestant to come clean about a prompt split after leaving Paradise, confirming Bill and herself were no longer together.
This come after the former Bachelor-winner, who admitted she was ‘falling in love’ with Bill on camera.
“…I’m literally, I’m madly in love with him but it scares me because I’m just like it is here (Paradise)? And I want to know if it’s out there,” she said.
Turns out it may have just been the magic of the island, as the couple parted ways just weeks into their real world relationships.
It’s not an unexpected twist, with rumours circulating for weeks, but nevertheless a disappointing development for the mum-of-one.
The truth came out when Alex arrived at the reunion with only a cardboard cut-out of Bill to accompany her.
“We came back from paradise and it was good for three weeks and then he told me he didn’t love me and I suppose we couldn’t be together,” she revealed.
We couldn’t find Bill, so we got the next best thing 😉 safe to say Alex & Bill didn’t work out. #BachelorInParadiseAU pic.twitter.com/9En8byqQEm

The pair broke up on the show, but secretly began dating after filming wrapped, however last night they broke up for good.

Two other couples confirmed their break up before the finale even aired last night, one pair admitting they lasted only one day in the real world.
Shannon Baff and Connor Orochta confirmed their split via social media yesterday, with Shannon posting a heartfelt announcement to her Instagram.
“Myself and Connor are not together, we spent one day after Paradise together, outside the whirlwind environment,” she captioned an image of herself sitting on a van.
In an Eat Pray Love moment the reality contestant told fans she recently bought the van and is travelling around Australia, “being the best version of myself, for myself.”

American pair Alex Bordyukov and Caroline Lunny also shared a very short-lived real life romance despite leaving the island because they felt so sure about their connection.
“Our time together may have been brief, but its beauty isn’t defined by its permanence or longevity, “ Alex captioned an Instagram post of the pair yesterday.
He divulged that, “we agreed that, ultimately, we were romantically incongruent.”

If you thought that was enough fails to last a season, it doesn’t stop there.
Last minute lovers Davey Lloyd and Florence Alexandra have also split, if photos published this week are anything to go by.
The photos show Davey kissing another woman believed to be girlfriend Georgia Cook, with Florence, obviously nowhere to be seen.
