For some time, reports have been claiming that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk’s relationship has been ‘hanging by a thread’ and they’re no longer living together.

Now, People is confirming the couple, who share two-year-old daughter Lea, have split.

According to their insider, the pair have ended their four-year relationship and are currently working out how to co-parent their daughter. Neither Bradley or Irina have commented however.

Numerous sources have said that despite her visible, on-screen chemistry with Bradley, Lady Gaga had nothing to do with the split.

That hasn’t stopped the Twitterverse from bringing Lady Gaga into the conversation, however.

Living apart

Earlier this week, a report in The Sun claimed that Irina had moved out their $6.5million (AUD) California home.

“Things are cooling off between Bradley and Irina in a big way,” a source told the publication.

“They haven’t been good for a few months and Irina decided it would be best if she moved into her own place. It’s not looking like there’s much long left for the two of them together.”

Photos also emerged of Irina leaving the house with a suitcase in hand on June 6.

Enter Lady Gaga

After staring alongside each other in A Star is Born, fans have wanted Bradley and Gaga to take their character’s chemistry offscreen.

The pair sent social media into meltdown when they performed the song ‘Shallow’ from the movie at the Oscars.

Irina was in the audience for that performance and hugged Gaga after the performance.

An unnamed source said at the time, that “Irina knows that Bradley and Gaga are artists”.

“It’s a nonissue for her. They were in character putting on an Oscar performance., who he has been dating since 2015, was watching in the audience.”

Gaga denied any romance

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live shortly after the Oscars, Lady Gaga addressed the incessant romance rumours plaguing her and her A Star Is Born co-star.

When asked about the rumours, Gaga simply rolled her eyes, before she said, “First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal.

“People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie, A Star Is Born, it’s a love story.”

Gaga insisted she and Bradley performed the song in their characters – with Gaga as Ally and Bradley as Jack – because they’re both “artists”, who wanted to give the best performance possible.
