Bodyguard: 'Brad was happier with Jen'
Having worked as a bodyguard for Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston in the past, Kris Herzog says what Brad had with Jen was “one hundred per cent” happiness, and a very different relationship to that shared with Ange.
Speaking to Be, the 49-year-old founder of The Bodyguard Group Of Beverly Hills says, “I’d definitely be ‘Team Jennifer Aniston’,” when it comes to one of Hollywood’s most high-profile love triangles.
“Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were one hundred per cent happy before he met Angelina Jolie,” says Herzog.
“I never heard of them fighting. I never heard rumours of cheating.
“I never heard anything bad between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt before he met Angelina Jolie.”
When Brad and Jen split in January 2005, following five years of marriage, Jen was devastated according to Herzog.
“She really loved him with all her heart. I don’t believe Jennifer even looked at other guys when she was with Brad. She would have dedicated her life to him,” he says.
Meanwhile Herzog believes that Brad and Ange’s relationship was very different, the pair becoming an item after meeting on the set of film Mr And Mrs Smith, released in 2005.
It was that year Herzog says he began working with Brad.
“With Angelina it was a different type of relationship.
“It was ‘we are the most powerful celebrity couple in the world’ and that was primarily Angelina pushing he public image.”
The actress, who married Brad two hears ago, filed for divorce from Brad in September.
The actor was recently cleared of child abuse allegations, following an incident on a private jet in September.
The couple share six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Rumours of the pair first being an item circulated in 2005, with Angelina confirming the relationship status once and for all in January 2006, when revealing she was pregnant with Brad’s child.
Over the years their relationship has endured ups and downs, and the couple have revealed both a glamorous, united front on the red carpet, as well as a more tense relationship behind closed doors.
In 2010 Angelina told Parade magazine: “Brad and I love being together. We enjoy it. We need it, and we always find that special time. We stay connected”.
In November 2014 the pair were spotted in what looked like a very tense verbal exchange on the balcony of a Sydney hotel, just months after getting married.

That month she gave an interview to Today, admitting: “We have more moments where I say, ‘I'm going to be a better wife… I'm going to learn to cook’, and [Brad] says, ‘Oh, honey, know what you're good at".

She added: “But I do like a, ‘No, no, no, I'm going to get this wife thing down’. He knows my limitations and where I'm a good wife and a good mom.”
