‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ Star Fọlákẹ́ Olówófôyekù Signs With Anonymous Content

EXCLUSIVE: Bob Hearts Abishola star Fọlákẹ́ Olówófôyekù has signed with Anonymous Content for representation in all areas.

Olówófôyekù had 95 episodes of Bob Hearts Abishola under her belt when the CBS comedy ended in May with Season 5. Her leading role as Abishola garnered her an NAACP Image Award nomination for Actress in a Comedy Series. She also won the 2019 Breakout Actress in TV Award on behalf of the Sync Con Honors Awards.

Next she’ll be voicing a character in Disney’s animated prequel Mufasa: The Lion King, which stars Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Seth Rogen and others. The Barry Jenkins-directed feature hits theaters in December.

Olówófôyekù grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. She then attended City College of New York, earning her B.A. with honors in theater. She also had a collegiate basketball career, playing for CCNY’s Beavers.

Her other film and television credits include a recurring role on Transparent and guest roles on The Gifted, Modern FamilyHow to Get Away with MurderWestworldLaw & OrderLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She earned awards for her work in When They Could Fly as well as Central & Broadway. As a voiceover artist, Olówófôyekù played the Priestess in Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series – Episode 1.

In addition to acting, Olówófôyekù plans to pursue her music career with a particular eye toward DJing. She is self-taught on the electric guitar and earned a diploma in audio engineering from the Institute of Audio Research. She also has released several singles including “Happy, Happy (Money Dun Come),” “Melanin No Ni,” and her newest single “Ehen Ehen Okay Okay” – a protest song released on the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protests in Nigeria.

She continues to be represented by WME and Del Shaw Moonves.
