Bluey voice actress Melanie Zanetti stuns fans with photo shoot: 'Perfection'

The voice actor who plays Chilli has posed for a rare photo shoot, wowing Bluey fans.

She voices the beloved Chilli on hit children's series Bluey and now voice actor Melanie Zanetti has wowed fans with a glamorous photo shoot with Stellar magazine.

The 38-year-old star opened up about how shocked people are when they find out she's the voice of the iconic character, saying she enjoys a life of anonymity.

“I’ve had the feedback that I don’t necessarily look like what they had in their mind. I don’t know what they’re imagining … I’m not actually a red heeler,” she joked.

The voice actress said she's not often recognised by just her voice alone, so she can live her life normally.

“I have never been vocally recognised, I think, because my actual voice is just a couple of steps away from Chilli,” she explained.

“But I kind of love the anonymity. I’ve often been in situations where I’ve walked past whole families decked out in Bluey gear."

Melanie also opened up to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this year about her role in the cult show at the TV Week Logie Awards.

"You’re very incognito, which I love,” she said. “But when they find out, the children don’t care, they have cognitive dissonance. Parents just lose their minds.”

She also spoke of the show's impact on not just children, but an older fanbase.

“I just found out on TikTok that there are all of these teenagers who are obsessed and having Bluey birthday parties, which I think is wild and wonderful," she said.

The hit children's series was created by Australian animator Joe Brumm and premiered in 2018. Praised for its depiction of everyday family life, the show has become a huge success internationally with Hollywood celebs such as Ryan Gosling and Natalie Portman counting themselves as fans.

Melanie said while she didn't expect the show to blow up as much as it did, she knew she was involved with something 'special' from the start.

“When I first saw the beginnings of the pilot, I knew it was special. It was so beautiful, my heart actually hurt watching it and I was like, ‘This I want to be part of.’ I don’t think anyone could have predicted how big it’s blown up," she told Stellar.
