‘Bluey’ Lands British Voice Actors For First Time

The brits are coming to Bluey.

More from Deadline

Bluey Minisodes is a series of one-to-three minute moments featuring Bluey and her younger sister Bingo. In the episode “Butlers,” Rob & Romesh Vs… star Beckett voices the head butler, Monty, alongside Widdicombe, who voices the new recruit Barnsley, with Brooker, who hosts Channel 4’s The Last leg, as the voice of the kitchen butler, Harlow. The ‘Minisode’ is set in Bluey’s dreamhouse, where Monty is onboarding the latest recruit.

Brooker said: “I can’t believe I got to be involved in the best children’s show ever made. I treasure sitting with my daughters laughing at Bluey and I’ve still never got through ‘Sleepytime’ without crying. It’s an absolute privilege to have been a part of the show and do it alongside my friend Rob Beckett and the other one from his podcast and that Last Leg show.”

Bluey has a mostly Australian voice cast but its global success has led to a string of big-name cameos including from Natalie Portman, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eva Mendes. It has been a mega hit around the world since launching in 2018. Created by Joe Brumm, it airs on the ABC in Australia, BBC in the UK and around the world via Disney. Brumm recently teased to us a potential feature film depending on the success of 30-minute length special “The Sign.” Up to then, all three seasons had run seven-minute eps.
