After having a turbulent year filled with legal drama following the release of It Ends With Us in 2024, Blake Lively made her return to the red carpet alongside husband Ryan Reynolds and attended the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special on February 16 after taking a break from the spotlight. But how did Lively fare with being back in front of the cameras amid her legal drama with Justin Baldoni?

An inside source for People revealed that Lively managed to enjoy herself at the event, and explained that she and Reynolds "had a great time" surrounded by their Hollywood peers. "It was nice getting out of the house and being around friends and familiar faces," the source added.

Though Lively was understandably "nervous" to attend a red carpet and televised event while she's in the midst of a very public legal battle—in which she accused Baldoni and others of sexual harassment and he filed a $400 million lawsuit in response—she was still "excited to be out with friends and support Saturday Night Live" for its 50th celebration. As such, Lively put on her Sunday's best for the event, and wore a shimmering silver Tamara Ralph gown with floral appliqué's and a visible corset, while Reynolds looked classic in a black suit.

During the telecast, the couple was seen on camera. The Deadpool actor stood up to ask a question, to which Tina Fey replied and asked him, “How’s it going?” Reynolds responded, “Great, why? What have you heard?”

"They stayed after the live show wrapped and mingled in the studio and were talking with everyone from Ben Stiller to Paul McCartney," the People source continued. "They spent time talking with Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson too. Blake also chatted with Dakota Johnson."
