Zoe Saldaña Puts a Sheer Spin on Power Dressing With Her Family for Filming Italy Los Angeles Festival Opening Night

Zoe Saldaña made her latest red carpet appearance a family affair on Wednesday in Los Angeles for the 10th annual Filming Italy Los Angeles Festival. The Oscar-nominated “Emilia Pérez” star was joined by her husband of more than 10 years, Marco Perego-Saldaña, and the couple’s three children — Cy, Bowie and Zen.

For the special occasion, Saldaña put a sheer spin on power dressing. The actress took the monochrome route, wearing a sheer black blouse with long sleeves, a high neckline and a Lavallière detail. She paired the sheer blouse with black, wide-leg trousers.

When it came to her accessories, Saldaña went the minimalist route, favoring small stud earrings and a few dainty rings. Her hair was styled in a sleek, tight chignon. Saldaña’s makeup featured bold brows, a hint of a smokey eye and a glossy lip. The actress often collaborates with stylist Petra Flannery, who curated several of Saldaña’s “Emilia Pérez” promotional tour and awards season looks, including her recent Saint Laurent BAFTA look.

The “Avatar” star’s husband coordinated with her effortlessly, choosing his own take on a monochrome look. Perego opted for a black shirt, black tapered trousers, coordinated boots and a black leather jacket.

All three of the couple’s children posed with their parents at the red carpet event. The children looked comfortable and casual wearing variations on dress shirts and blazers with dark wash jeans and sneakers.

This isn’t the first time Saldaña turned a red carpet moment into a family affair. On Feb. 12, the actress attended the 2025 Santa Barbara International Film Festival with her family, posing for photos with her children.

The actress, styled by Flannery, wore a shimmering dress courtesy of Thom Browne. The sleeveless maxidress featured such elements as sharp shoulders and a boxy bodice with an A-line skirt. The look also included allover black sequins and backless elements — two small bands of fabric with Thom Browne’s signature stripes holding the back of the dress together.
