Blake Lively Supports Husband Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool Red While Gigi Hadid Is Team Wolverine in Yellow

The fashionable friends showed their allegiances at the premiere of Reynolds' and Hugh Jackman's new 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

Blake Lively brought her playful style to the world premiere of her husband Ryan Reynolds' new movie, Deadpool & Wolverine.

On Monday, July 22, Lively, 36, arrived to the red carpet in New York City alongside Gigi Hadid in ensembles that paid homage to Reynolds' and Hugh Jackman's title characters.

The actress wore a custom long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder red bodysuit by Versace with intricate designs, perfect for a night of fashionable crime-fighting. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Ofira jewels added a bit of bling to the look.

Lively held hands with Hadid, 29, who was inspired by Wolverine's yellow X-Men uniform.

The model stunned in a custom Miu Miu SS24 RTW yellow set. She wore a logo tube top with a matching low-rise yellow skirt. She paired it with a yellow purse from the house (adorned with String Ting’s Big Love Shorty Bag Charm) and black pumps. Hadid also wore a vintage Chanel Small Coins Necklace from vintage boutique What Goes Around Comes Around.

Hadid also wore Alexis Bittar's signature stacked bangles to accentuate her look, which was styled by Elizabeth Sulcer.

The group all posed for pictures together at the event.

Lively previously mastered the art of on-theme dressing when she debuted her baby bump (announcing that she and Reynolds were expecting their third child) at the Pokémon Detective Pikachu premiere in 2019. On the red carpet, the star channeled Pikachu in a sparkling yellow sequin dress and Pokémon-inspired manicure.

The Gossip Girl alum might be more than just Reynolds' date tonight. After the final Deadpool & Wolverine trailer was released ahead of the premiere, fans speculated that Lively would cameo as Lady Deadpool. In the clip, the mysterious character is shown to have blonde hair and is wearing a red and black suit matching that of Deadpool's.

The premiere also marks Lively and Reynolds’ return to the red carpet after skipping this year’s Met Gala, where Lively has become a highly anticipated guest. The star last attended the event in 2022, serving as co-chair, and wowed in a head-turning Atelier Versace gown featuring a reversible train.

She ascended the iconic Met steps alongside Reynolds, who wore a velvet tuxedo and white bow tie, before putting on a performance when she flipped the train, revealing an aqua side that cascaded down behind her.

Lively may have missed the Met Gala, but she sparkled at Tiffany & Co.'s Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection launch at the jeweler's New York City flagship store on May 2.

On Instagram, Lively revealed that she attended the event with her 19-year-old niece Kate Johnson (whose mom is Lively's sister Robyn Lively). Her post included two selfies of her and Johnson in their sparkly outfits.

Lively looked radiant in a mermaid-like beaded turquoise dress from Happy Isles, which perfectly matched her Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a platinum necklace with a blue cuprian elbaite tourmaline of more than 12 carats on a diamond chain wrapped around her wrist like a bracelet.

She also accessorized with diamond bird brooches boasting over 28 carats, as well as diamond earrings and stacks of rings.
