Blake Lively Appears to Skip 2025 Super Bowl Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

Blake Lively did not appear to be in attendance at the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9, when the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Last February, the Gossip Girl star was sitting first chair next to Taylor Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl. But this year, she's embroiled in a legal battle with It Ends With Us costar/director Justin Baldoni that's rumored to have put a strain on her 10-year friendship with the "Betty" singer. (Other reports have claimed there is "no rift" between the two.)

At the 2024 Super Bowl, Lively, 37, was part of Swift's entourage, along with Ice Spice, Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry, but she's now in the midst of messy legal drama with Baldoni—and some reports have suggested the situation has put a crimp in her friendship with Swift.

The drama alone isn't said to be the problem; it's that Swift has been embroiled in it—another narrative that she never asked to be a part of.

In a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni claims that Lively used Swift to strong-arm him into approving her edits to a pivotal scene in It Ends With Us, in a meeting that allegedly took place at Lively's New York City penthouse with Swift in attendance. In alleged text messages submitted to the court, Lively compares herself to the Game of Thrones character Khaleesi and likens Reynolds and Swift to her "dragons."
