Billie Eilish slammed over 'sick and twisted' Halloween costume

Billie Eilish and her new boyfriend Jesse Rutherford have been called out on social media for their matching Halloween costumes, which some fans have labelled as “extremely disturbing”.

The pair, who have known each other since 2017 but became romantically linked last month, seemed to poke fun at the criticism of their 11-year age-gap relationship by dressing as a baby and an old man.

Billie, 20, wore a blonde wig with doll-like makeup, a pink outfit decorated with colourful teddy bears, a matching bonnet, pink bunny slippers and a diaper.

Meanwhile, 31-year-old The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse wore a bald cap and wrinkled prosthetics in photos posted to Twitter by Pop Crave.

‘Sick and twisted’

It didn’t take long for fans to slam the matching outfits on social media, calling them “weird”, “gross” and “wrong”.

“Billie Eilish and Jessie Rutherford’s matching Halloween costumes is incredibly sick and twisted - especially with their age difference and power imbalance,” one fan wrote. “It’s not funny or chic, it’s not poking fun, it’s disturbing, and the adults in her life are letting her down once again.”

“That Billie Eilish costume is extremely disturbing and I absolutely hate it every time it crosses my timeline,” another added, followed by a third who said, “Billie is grown enough to know how weird and creepy this is”.

“Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford think they are edgy with their Halloween costumes, but it's so embarrassing,” someone else tweeted. “I know she's gonna regret it in a few years.”

“Must have been very funny in person because it seems like they really don’t want their costume pics online… Almost like they know it’s very weird,” a different user remarked.

Others, however, argued that there was nothing wrong with the costumes and people were creating a situation out of nothing.

“Everyone bullying and making fun of Billie for her Halloween costume this year literally f**k off I thought Halloween was something where people can have fun dressing up as whatever they want,” a fan said. “Literally grow up it’s not that deep.”

Billie’s controversial outfit comes shortly after Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were slammed for their bizarre Halloween costume.

The rapper dressed as a priest wearing a black and red robe and holding a glass of red wine, while Megan wore latex lingerie, thigh-high boots, fishnet stockings and a silver wig.

The couple shared a number of snaps on Instagram showing off their outfits, including a video of MGK feeding his fiancée communion while she knelt in front of him.

Followers quickly took to the comments to slam the outfits, with plenty of people arguing that they are "disrespecting Christianity”.

“What the hell is wrong with you people,” one person wrote, followed by others who labelled the costumes as “satanic”, “vomit-inducing” and “next-level freak s**t”.

The couple also dressed as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee over Halloween weekend, a decision that fans called “dumb and insensitive” as the former Playboy model has since claimed their relationship was abusive.
