Bikini optical illusion baffles TikTokers: 'SO CONFUSED'

An optical illusion of bikini-clad women has resurfaced and is once again going viral after it was posted to TikTok.

The photo was shared on the platform of three women standing in an inflatable tube, with their tangled limbs confusing people online.

The optical illusion makes the woman in the middle of the trio look as though she is short, while the woman to the left looks as though she is towering over her friends.

"At first I thought she was really short!!!" the TikToker captioned the image.

Others were just as confused by the optical illusion, with many admitting it took some time to solve the puzzle.

"I'm so confused," one wrote.

"I had to STUDY this," another commented.

"It took my brain too long to figure out what was going on," a third added.

Those who did figure out which limbs belonged to the women were still scratching their heads.

"I see it, but I'm still confused," one said.

"It still doesn't make sense to me," a TikToker admitted.

"I see it but my brain keeps snapping back to the illusion," another commented.

While the optical illusion has baffled thousands, there is a simple explanation as to what is going on.

The woman to the left, who appears to be much taller than her friends, is sitting on the back of the inflatable while also being piggybacked by her friend in the middle, who appears to be much shorter.

The legs of the 'short' girl are the ones seen on the far left as she bends over, making her legs look as though they belong to the 'tall' girl.
