Big Brother VIP: Thomas Markle Jr slams 'shallow' Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr. has taken aim at the duchess as he entered the Australian Big Brother VIP house.

In an ad for the series, the Washington-based window fitter calls himself “the biggest brother of them all” and claims he warned Prince Harry about his half-sister.

“I told Prince Harry, I think she’s going to ruin your life. She’s very shallow."

Over the weekend, Channel Seven confirmed the "all-star" line-up for the show, which is set to air later this year.

They include Olympian and former Keeping Up With The Kardashians Caitlyn Jenner, actor Bernard Curry, Big Brother 2021 star Danny Hyaes and actress Ellie Gonsalves.

Model Imogen Anthony, MAFS reality TV star Jessika Power, model Josh Carroll, reality TV star Luke Toki, NRL star Matt Cooper, political aide Omarosa round off the remaining contestants.

Thomas Markle Jr. was spotted arriving in Sydney Airport in July, where he was whisked away into hotel quarantine in Sydney, just days after Katie Hopkins was booted from Australia after she tried to break quarantine rules.

Thomas Jr is not believed to have seen or spoken to his half-sister since the 2000s, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking part in several scathing interviews since she joined the royal family.

In May 2018, just before Meghan Markle walked down the aisle to marry Prince Harry, Thomas Markle Jr. penned an open letter to his half sister which was published by In Touch.

In the letter, he claimed that despite he and Meghan becoming“distant” they are “still family”.

“With all the memories of watching you grow up, it’s hurtful that you would forget about us,” he wrote.

“It does hurt my feelings not getting invited to your wedding, along with the rest of the family.

“But it’s not too late to send me an invite along with your entire family.”

Thomas also shared a letter with In Touch that he had written to Prince Harry, saying Meghan would make a “joke” of Harry and the “royal family heritage”.

In July 2019 he levelled claims against the Duchess of Sussex again, alleging she was about to cut ties with her beloved mother, Doria Ragland.

“She gets a day here, a day there… that’s about it,” he told The Mirror in reference to how much the famous mother and daughter see each other.

“That’s probably the next relationship that’s going to fall off the map.”

Thomas Markle Jr isn’t the only one of Meghan’s half siblings to speak out against her since she became a member of the royal family.

Samantha Markle has also blasted the duchess in a number of television interviews, even writing a book about her sister.

During Meghan Markle’s now famous interview with Oprah Winfrey, she claimed it would be hard for Samantha Markle to write a tell-all book about her, because she doesn’t know her at all.

"I grew up as an only child and I wished I had siblings ... that's why I'm so excited to be pregnant so that Archie has someone,” Meghan said.

"But the last time I saw her must have been 18 or 19 years ago.
