Kaley Cuoco has shed tears over the conclusion of beloved TV comedy series The Big Bang Theory after 12 seasons on air.

The actor, who played bubbly waitress Penny for over a decade, took to social media to share her emotion over the show’s conclusion.

Kaley, 33, posted a photo of herself looking upset on Instagram back in April, along with a snap of the script for the finale covered in a pile of tissues.

“Prepare yourselves ... for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words,” she captioned the pic.

The final episode aired in the US in May but Aussie viewers had to wait until last night to bid their Big Bang family farewell on Channel 9.

Needless to say, fans Down Under were just as devastated to see the show wrap for good after 279 episodes.

“Just watched the finale tonight in Australia, I cried at Sheldon’s speech, so sad to see the show end, thank God for dvds and reruns to watch all over again,” one wrote on Instagram.

“So sad, the last one,” wrote another.

“Luved every bit of this show ... is it too early to ask for a reunion show?” asked one optimistic viewer.

Kaley’s co-stars also took to social media to share their touching goodbyes to the Golden Globe-winning series.

Kunal Karmanayyar, who played Raj, posted a behind-the-scenes photo of the entire cast sharing a group hug on set.

“Thank you for letting me share my birthday on stage with my six best friends,” he wrote.

“What an incredible ride,” Johnny Galecki - who played Penny’s love interest Leonard - wrote on his Instagram.

“Love love love,” wrote Jim Parsons aka Sheldon - who urged fans to check out BBT-prequel series Young Sheldon.

Kaley’s career U-turn

The blonde beauty is set to transition from comedy to something a bit more serious after signing on to star in the upcoming TV drama/thriller, The Flight Attendant.

The spine-tingling story follows flight attendant Cassandra Bowden, who wakes with a hangover in a Dubai hotel room, only to find a dead body next to her.

Filming is expected to begin later this year, with a release on Warner Bros’ streaming service expected in early 2020.
