Beyoncé Wins Album of the Year for ‘Cowboy Carter’ in Custom Schiaparelli Dress at the Grammys 2025

Beyoncé added another Grammy to her trophy shelf tonight — and did so in a golden gown that matched her award. When the music star accepted her wins for Best Country Album and Album of the Year with “Cowboy Carter” at the Grammy Awards 2025, she was wearing a metallic dress that contained a subtle tribute to her most recent LP.

Beyoncé was shining in a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture beaded gown, stitched with a Western wear-nodding paisley pattern that recalled a bandana. At the center of her gown was a paisley-shaped cutout with a crystal-encrusted pearl accent dangling. Beyoncé wore the gown with matching opera gloves, drop pearl earrings, and velvet pointed-toe platform heels.

In her acceptance speech for best country album, Beyoncé expressed shock and gratitude, saying, “I really was not expecting this. Wow. I want to thank god that I’m able to still do what I love after so many years.”

“I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album,” she continued, adding, “We worked so hard on it. I think sometimes genre is a cold word to keep us in our place as artists and I want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about and to stay persistent. I want to thank my beautiful family… I still am in shock.”

Beyoncé’s album “Cowboy Carter” was not just a seminal release for the music industry; it helped spark both a movement in fashion and an increase in the sales of Western styles from bolo ties to Kentucky ties, oversize Western belt buckles, and other iconic Western motifs.

Beyoncé has favored gold at the Grammys throughout the years. In 2004 she famously wore a ruched gold silk gown while posing with her arms brimming with five Grammy trophies. In 2006, she wore a strapless gold beaded gown. She also wore a gold gown the following year while performing at the Grammys — and a mini dress consisting of gold and silver metal pieces in 2010. Not to mention, in 2017, she performed pregnant while in a gold Peter Dundas gown.

Gold was a popular choice at the Grammys 2025, with not only Beyoncé embracing the metallic trend but also Cardi B and Paris Hilton opting to wear gold dresses.

Soon, Beyoncé will be suiting up in cowboy core once again as she takes “Cowboy Carter” on tour.
