Yahoo Lifestyle Beyoncé’s Nephew Julez Smith Jr. Returns to the Luar Runway in Gray Textured Jacket After Viral 2024 NYFW Debut
After making his runway debut at Luar’s fall 2024 fashion show, Julez Smith Jr. reunited with the designer, walking in his fall 2025 presentation at New York Fashion Week on Monday.
The model sported an all-gray ensemble consisting of a quilted jacket, zip-up top and skinny trousers. A printed durag and a white fur stole completed his look, as well as a pair of black patent leather with “L” logo buckles.

Smith is Solange’s only son with her ex-husband Daniel Smith, who she was married to from 2004 to 2007.
Julez made his runway debut during Luar’s fall 2024 fashion show in February, with his mom, aunt Beyoncé and grandmother Tina Knowles sitting in the front row.
“Love you endlessly unc,” he said in an Instagram post following the show, referring to creative director Raul Lopez.
Smith went on to appear in the label’s spring 2025 presentation in September.
Smith is currently signed to Next Management, an agency that has represented top models such as Anok Yai, Abbey Lee and Ali Michael.
Smith has also walked the runway for labels like Versace, Bluemarble and Off-White. He’s even made red carpet appearances at the Met Gala and, more recently, the MTV Video Music Awards, where he sported a checkered Wales Bonner varsity jacket.
Per WWD’s Thomas Waller, Lopez’s latest collection was inspired by a reclamation of his own LGBTQIA+ identity. “What’s going on now. I’m born and raised in New York. I’m not going back anywhere. I’m staying right here,” the designer said.
“Lopez pumped up the volume of the message with one look after another, a celebration of queer joy. A gray knit catsuit with webbed arms that held the hands like a limp wrist — a tongue in cheek take on a gesture many gay boys were made fun of for,” Waller wrote. “There were opulent textures, particularly feathers, with one coat covered in black feathers that had been made in collaboration with the same atelier that works with Schiaparelli.”
