"The mama bird is home in the nest," she said as she took off her makeup, her hair held back from her face with a black headband.

"I had a very terrifying experience tonight on the plane," she continued. "It was very scary and very bumpy and we all, on the plane, I don't want to say dead silent, but dead silent, freaking out inside. And um, I saw, I opened the window, and it was a shared private flight, and I opened the window, and you couldn't see anything outside."

Frankel went on to say that she "later found out that the New York airports were closed, the other airports, this airport was White Plains and it was open, and I was praying, I wrote a letter to my daughter, a long text to my daughter, and to someone in my life and her life to, you know, just make sure everything was taken care of, and it was like that."

Despite "feeling traumatized," Frankel said she was "so happy to be home."

"I'm so happy to be home, I can't explain," she admitted, adding that she would pass up the chance to go to San Tropez or "on a 7,000 foot yacht."

"I don't want to go, I want to be right here, in pajamas," Frankel said. "I need to nest. I'm a bird that can fly away and pretend, but I need to nest. So, I'm home to nest."
