The Best Beauty Looks From the 2024 Oscars

On Sunday, Hollywood's biggest names gathered for the 96th Academy Awards, and given that the Oscars are the biggest awards show of the season, celebrities went hard when it came to fashion and beauty. This year's looks ran the gamut: Some stars leaned whimsically character-inspired, others went with thoughtful, referential looks — and of course, others went for full-on glamour.

There were a handful of memorable beauty moments, too: Zendaya, Florence Pugh and Julianne Hough demonstrated the gorgeous versatility of a bob haircut, while Issa Rae, Gabrielle Union and Greta Lee each showed up in Oscars-worthy updos. Glow-y skin also made quite a showing — and that extended to the body, especially in the case of Rae's gleaming sternum and Lupita Nyong'o's body glitter-adorned shoulders.

Nails also had a moment on the Oscars red carpet: Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba-core extended to her maximalist green-accented tips, while Danielle Brooks incorporated the number 26 into her rhinestone-adorned manicure to represent that she's the 26th Black woman to be nominated for an Oscar in the supporting actress category.
