Yahoo Lifestyle Benny Blanco On The 1 Thing He's 'So Scared' Of With Selena Gomez Romance
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are set to tie the knot, but the producer candidly admitted he has one worry about his relationship with the “Emilia Pérez” actor.
The newly engaged couple sat down for their first joint interview last week, where Blanco confessed his hesitation in their courtship.
“I wake up in the morning—I know she does the same thing—and I’m like, ‘How can I make her life better?’” Blanco told Interview magazine. “Holding her isn’t close enough. I want to be inside of her whole body. I just feel a thing for her that I can’t even explain. I’m so sappy.”
“It’s very romantic,” Gomez said, while her fiancé added, “I just smile every day.”
Still, Blanco said he’s “so scared” that one day Gomez is “just going to wake up and be like, ‘What? No,’” he added with a laugh.
Luckily, it sounds like he doesn’t need to worry.
“You’re stuck with me,” the singer assured him.
The “Only Murders In the Building” star and cookbook author announced her engagement to Blanco in December after they were first linked in June 2023.
The two told Interview magazine that they first met many years ago when Gomez was around 16 or 17.
“It’s actually very difficult to figure out,” the singer said.
Blanco said it was when the two “first had music come out in 2013 or something.”
“Her mom set up a meeting between the two of us. This is right when I became big and she wasn’t a singer yet,” he said.
The couple are going back to their roots and teaming up for new music. They announced their first joint album, “I Said I Love You First,” which is set for release on March 21.
