Ben Affleck Was Seen Without Wedding Ring in L.A. as Jennifer Lopez Celebrated Her Birthday in the Hamptons

The two-time Oscar winner was spotted solo in Los Angeles over the weekend as wife Lopez celebrated her 55th birthday on the opposite coast

Ben Affleck was seen without his wedding ring in Los Angeles over the weekend, as wife Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday on the East Coast.

The actor-director, 51, was spotted out and about solo on Sunday, July 21, noticeably not wearing the jewelry on his left hand as he sported a red T-shirt and gray bottoms.

Affleck was also photographed Monday, July 22, in L.A. as he entered his office, wearing a suit. While he carried an iced coffee in his right hand, it was unclear whether his wedding ring was visible on his opposite hand, in which he held his phone and a large bag.

Meanwhile, Lopez is coming off of a celebratory weekend, where she marked her upcoming 55th birthday at a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons on Saturday, July 20.

Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE on Sunday that Affleck was not at his wife's birthday bash in the Hamptons the previous day.

During the event, numerous guests were captured arriving in royal-esque attire, including Lopez's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who was seen dressed in a blue gown with white lace detailing.

While Affleck has not been seen in the Hamptons this summer, Lopez has spent time there with her husband's oldest child, 18-year-old Violet.

The actress-singer was seen taking a bike ride with Violet earlier this month in the New York locale. Later that same day, they were spotted walking arm-in-arm in Southampton, New York, and were joined by Violet’s friend.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Lopez and her stepdaughter, whom Affleck shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, "really enjoy each other's company."

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot during an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, celebrating the following month with a larger event in Savannah, Georgia. They recently spent their second wedding anniversary on opposite coasts.

A source recently told PEOPLE that the pair's marriage is "not in the best place at the moment."

Another insider said that their marital problems have had nothing to do with Lopez's status as a superstar, detailing that there have been "deeper issues" between the two.

"The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true," the latter source told PEOPLE.

Aside from Violet, Affleck and Garner, 52, also share children Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, while Lopez and ex-husband Marc Anthony are parents to 16-year-old twins Emme and Max.
