Bachelor star Paddy Colliar rushed to hospital after being stabbed

Former Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise star Paddy Colliar was rushed to hospital on Sunday morning after he was stabbed in the back at a party in Adelaide.

"Patrols were called to a private function at a fitness studio on Beafield Road just before 1.30am on Sunday 8 August, where approximately 30 people were in attendance," SA Police shared in a statement.

"Police will allege the suspect had an altercation with a woman before the victim intervened and was stabbed in the back. He was treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a minor stab wound to his back.

"The suspect left prior to patrols arriving but was located a short time later at nearby service station where he was arrested.

"The 23-year-old from Semaphore, has been charged with aggravated assault cause harm and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 17 September.

"Police will also be investigating possible breaches of the Emergency Management Act directions."

Paddy took to Instagram after the incident, sharing a photo of himself under medical care, he wrote, "Not how I thought my [Saturday] night would end."

He later shared a photo from his hospital bed where he was giving two thumbs up.

"Appreciate the messages guys. I'm doing OK, just lost a fair bit of blood and have broken ribs," he wrote. "Lucky to still be here."

Paddy lost his job last year as a personal trainer due to the ongoing Covid pandemic. He has since been working to build up his following on OnlyFans.

The reality star recently stepped into the ring with Jessika Power's brother Rhyce at the Team Ellis boxing event Now or Never.

Paddy managed to beat Rhyce and wrote on Instagram of his win, "Couldn’t be prouder from where I began to where I am now. Although the game plan didn’t go accordingly and it ended up being a scrap it takes balls to jump into a ring and throw down.

"@Rhyce_Power we had beef and we squashed it in the ring how it should be done. Cheers for a good scrap."
