“Bachelor in Paradise”'s Caelynn Bell and Husband Dean Are 'Trying to Start a Family' — but She Admits It's 'Harder' Than She Thought
The reality TV star met her husband Dean Bell on season 6 of the Bachelor franchise and tied the knot in September 2023
Caelynn and Dean Bell are trying to start a family — but it's a little harder than they initially thought.
In a video posted to her YouTube channel, the reality TV star, who met her husband on season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise after competing in Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, shared that the couple is trying to get pregnant after tying the knot in September 2023.
"We are trying to start a family," Caelynn shared. "It's on the vision board, which might be weird. I don't know if that's considered a goal because we are actively trying. It's just harder to make a baby than I thought it would be."

"I know everyone says that, 'No, I'm gonna get pregnant so easily.' My mom got pregnant so fast with all of her kids. I was like, 'That's gonna be me too.'"
However, Caelynn said she's learned that fertility and ovulation are a little bit more "tricky" than she initially thought.
"I'm still figuring all that out," Caelynn said. "I did get Mira. I also finally got in with the OB in January, but I got this Mira device."
"So, you plug in the tester, pee on a stick and it tells you your LH levels. I was peeing on the other sticks that show lines and I was having such a hard time. I was like, 'When am I ovulating?' This, I'm still figuring it out."
After their 2023 wedding, Dean and Caelynn spoke to PEOPLE about the event, noting that they hoped that their family would expand in the next few years.
“Dean is so compassionate. He has a way of making everyone feel so special and I really admire that about him,” Caelynn said at the time. “He's taught me a lot in the past four years of us being together. He never says no or he can't do something, he always tries, and almost always succeeds and it's been great to flip my perspective on things and start challenging myself more.
“Each year with Dean gets better, so I'm excited to see how we grow as husband and wife,” she continued. “Hopefully kids are in our future as well.”
