The Bachelor: Fans notice very 'awkward' detail during first date
Thursday night's episode of The Bachelor brought with it the first single date of the season with Bella Varelis going on a romantic sailing date with Locky Gilbert.
However, fans have taken to social media to comment on Bella and Locky's first kiss, with many calling it "awkward".
The pair were swimming when Locky dove under the water to get Bella a rose, this is when they shared their first kiss.
They awkwardly bobbed up and down in the water and engaged in a very tight-lipped kiss that featured little to no passion.
"Was that first kiss between #Bella and #Locky awkward to anyone else? Maybe treading water whilst simultaneously locking lips isn't an easy task?" one fan asked.
"That first kiss was very awkward for watch," someone else agreed.
Another said, "That kiss was like an awkward one behind the shelter shed at school. Get into it Locky, please."
Someone else asked, "Locky is a closed-mouth kisser?"
Others were simply impressed they were able to do it at all.
"[I don't know] I feel like you can kiss or not drown, you can’t do both," another joked.

Someone else wrote, "I'm so impressed they could tread water and kiss at the same time. He'd lean in, and I'd ask for a life jacket first."
However, others thought it might mean Bella will end up as the runner-up on the show with producers trying to make us think she'll win.
"The winner is never the first girl they kiss. She’ll be runner up," one fan tweeted.
Someone else added, "Of course Bella gets the first kiss on the first date omg... this is a runner up path if i’ve ever seen it."
