The Bachelor 2020: Bachelorettes' naked gowns turn heads
Any Bachelor enthusiast knows that when the ladies or gentlemen make their first entrance they want to stand out in something eye-catching and memorable.
For some this has meant rocking up on a motorcycle, performing a cheer or even arriving in a helicopter.
For others it’s all about donning an outfit that shows off your best assets and leaves a firm impression in the lucky Bachelor or Bachelorettes mind.
That was the strategy adopted by one of the Bachelor contestants last night who opted for a real-life, and very see-through, wedding dress for her first meeting with the handsome Locky Gilbert.
Contestant Marlaina opted for a $900 Stella bridal gown from luxury design brand Nadine Merabi.
The dress features a completely sheer bottom half, with strategically placed white leaf detailing keeping the dress broadcast appropriate.

Snaps on the designer’s website show the elegant gown leaves the wearer’s legs, and part of the buttocks on full display, an avant-garde choice by Marlaina who absolutely devastated in the saucy numbers.
She wasn’t the only one to push the fashion envelope, with bachelorette Laura also opting for a sheer and shimmering number, rocking a Micaah Lyla Glitter Gown that retails for a slightly more budget-friendly $299.
Laura’s gown features a completely sheer chain-mail style silver material over a nude bodysuit, her legs gracefully shown off both by the see-through style and a thigh-high split.
Other show-stopping Bachelor outfits
Most avante-garde of all, of course, was an outfit that put the wearer’s hysterical personality on full display.
23-year-old Rosemary waddled into the competition in a full head-to-toe penguin suit – no, not a suit and tails, an actual penguin suit.
Similarly stylish and eye-popping was 26-year-old Nicole’s show-stopping showgirl mini-dress and headdress.
With more sequins than you could count in a lifetime and a feathered headdress that added a solid foot or two to her height, the bachelorette really made a splash.
Honourable mentions too, go to the chilly midriffs of the evening, as an early 00’s inspired wind blew through the Bachelor mansion.
Rocking the tummy-bearing numbers were the stunning Charley who kept it cool in a royal blue top and skirt, and Steph who was red-hot in a scarlet, velvet top and bottom combination.
