Yahoo Lifestyle Ayo Edebiri Goes Strapless in Little Black Dress by Marc Jacobs for ‘Jimmy Fallon’ Appearance, Talks ‘The Bear’ Season Three
Ayo Edebiri made a visit to the set of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday. The Emmy-winning actress chatted with the eponymous late-night talk show host about “The Bear” Season Three, “Inside Out 2” and her time hosting “Saturday Night Live.”
For her late-night appearance, Edebiri opted for simple elegance, fashioning a little black dress courtesy of Marc Jacobs. Edebiri’s strapless minidress featured an exaggerated sweetheart neckline in a crumb catcher cut. The dress also featured a cinched waist and flared skirt. Edebiri paired the dress with sheer black tights courtesy of Wolford.

For the rest of her look, Edebiri opted for a pair of slingback, pointed-toe heels by Manolo Blahnik. As for her jewelry pieces, Edebiri kept it simple with stud earrings by Briony Raymond.
“The Bear” actress’ hair was slicked back in a low bun by Ursula Stephen. Her makeup featured a clean, natural look courtesy of Samantha Lau. Edebiri’s entire ensemble was curated by stylist Danielle Goldberg.
During her chat with Fallon, Edebiri revealed she directed an episode of the forthcoming season of “The Bear.” Edebiri revealed she never had an intention to direct, saying she was “so afraid of it.” Edebiri went on to credit the series’ crew and actress Liza Colón-Zayas for their support. “I felt like, I just had to show up and be my best because everybody was being their best,” Edebiri said.
Along with the third season of “The Bear,” which debuts June 27 on Hulu, Edebiri also stars in “Inside Out 2.” The actress voices the character Envy in the sequel to the 2015 Disney Pixar animated feature. Edebiri attended the Los Angeles premiere of the film alongside costars Amy Poehler and Maya Hawke on Monday.
For the occasion, Edebiri channeled some method dressing, wearing a similar hue as the design of her character. The actress fashioned a custom suit by Bottega Veneta with high-waisted trousers, featuring a cropped hemline, coordinated blazer and button-down shirt.
Edebiri’s costars also fashioned designer looks. Amy Poehler favored florals in a design by Monique Lhuillier while Maya Hawke chose a custom green dress by Prada.
“Inside Out 2,” out in theaters June 14, follows Riley and her new emotions throughout her burgeoning teenage years. The film is a sequel to 2015’s “Inside Out,” which is available to stream on Disney+.
