Avril Lavigne Puts on Dizzying Couture Display in Paris That's Making Jaws Drop

Avril Lavigne hung her signature pop-punk style back up in the closet for a dizzying designer garb during Paris Fashion Week.

The "Girlfriend" songstress stepped out in mind-bending style for the Iris Van Herpen Haute-Couture Fall/Winter 2024 on June 24, 2024. She was photographed in the bright summer sun on the Parisian streets as she absolutely rocked a unique black and white gown that gave the appearance of a separate cape flowing out over bodycon dress, although it was actually made of a singular piece.

Meanwhile, the bottom half of the look was a bit of an optical illusion, with folds and pleats in the fabric giving it the appearance of a paper craft.

Lavigne stayed true to her roots in her eye makeup, rocking a thick bold black liner and dramatic lashes, while her hair was styled in a half-up-half-down 'do styled in a stark halo.

Later the same day she was spotted sitting front row at the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025, where she'd let her hair completely down, cleaned up some of the more eccentric lines of her makeup, and changed into a tweed-patterned dress with feathered strands lining the sleeves, hem, and across her chest.

Fans were living for the deviation from her typical wardrobe, with one simply writing, "OH MY GOD AVRIL LAVIGNE?!???" alongside a photo from the day's events. Meanwhile, another responded with a second snapshot, declaring that the singer —who is currently on a greatest hits tour — is "MOTHERING!!"

We're sad to see this iteration of Fashion Week come to an end because we're already itching to see what Lavigne comes up with next.
