Meet the Aussie WAGs of the Australian Open
The Australian Open is well underway and while things might be heating up on the court, many people have turned their eyes to the stands, where the Aussie players’ very glamorous girlfriends have taken up residence.
While some of the players have already crashed out of the Open, that hasn’t stopped their other halves from shooting to fame online.
Vanessa Sierra
One WAG in particular who has made headlines in the past few months is Bernard Tomic’s girlfriend, Vanessa Sierra.
The 26-year-old went viral after uploading a series of videos to her social media account from her and tennis player Tomic’s quarantine hotel room.
In the videos, Vanessa complained about having to wash her own hair in the hotel, saying: “It’s just not something that I do. I usually have hairdressers that do it twice a week for me.”
Vanessa appeared on Love Island Australia in 2019 before launching her own OnlyFans account in 2020.
She recently said in a YouTube video: “I don't really like talking about my earnings, but let's just say Bernard could be a stay at home dad if he wanted.”
Brittany Hockley
Brittany Hockley and Jordan Thompsan may have only debuted their relationship on Instagram a few days ago but it seems things are moving fast for the pair.
After 26-year-old Thompson went crashing out of the Australian Open on Wednesday, Brittany committed on his post saying: “I love you. Sometimes things are just out of your control. You’ll be back better than ever”.
Brittany had been seen supporting her other half at the tournament and posted about how proud she is of her beau online.
The 34-year-old is no stranger to the spotlight, after appearing on The Bachelor in 2018 on Nick Cummins’ season. Since then she’s launched her own podcast with fellow Bachelor alum, Laura Byrne, called Life Uncut.
Brittany also appeared on Bachelor In Paradise in 2020 where she coupled up with Timm Hanley. However, things didn’t work out for the pair.
Announcing her relationship with Jordan online, Brittany wrote: “Annnd that’s me. Game, set, match, love. Or however it goes. Either way I feel like I’ve aced it and my patience over the years has served me well. And if I make anymore puns he will kill me.
“I waited a long time to play doubles and there were a couple of lets along the way (ok one more I had to I mean do you expect anything less!?) and it was worth every single second.”
Chiara Passari
Aussie tennis ace Nick Kyrgios is clearly smitten with his love, Chiara Passari.
After winning against Portugal’s Frederico Ferreira Silva at the Australian Open
, he approached the TV camera and wrote: “Miss u Chizzel”. He also referred to her as his “amazing girlfriend” in a post-match interview.
Kyrgios and Chiara are believed to have started dating in August 2020, just three months after he split from former girlfriend, tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.
"Happiness is found,” he captioned a snap of the pair on Instagram to announce their relationship.
