Ashley Graham's '90s denim maxi skirt gets a *very* sexy update
From wowing at Milan Fashion Week to lounging at home in jaw-dropping ensembles – captured in impromptu bathtime photoshoots, no less – Ashley Graham is a verified style queen. No wonder she was one of the few plus-size models picked to walk during the Victoria's Secret 2024 runway show. We would have loved to see even more curve representation from the brand, tbh, but we're glad our girl Ash was present and accounted for.
As for what the booked and busy supermodel has been up to since? Only jetting off to South Korea to explore the capital city of Seoul on a girls' trip. True to form, Ashley kept her followers up to date with her adventures via her social media platforms.
Picturesque backgrounds and K-beauty treatments aside, it was her off-duty outfits that really caught our attention, with one look in particular we are rushing to recreate.
Posting a video on TikTok of her dancing in the streets, Ashley could be seen wearing a leather bomber jacket from The Frankie Shop paired with a Y/Project grey denim midi skirt, albeit with a sexy update. Ashley's skirt featured an asymmetric hem with a slashed leg-slit stretching diagonally all across the front of the design finishing at the thigh to give a peek at almost her entire leg.
Sharing the same clip on Instagram (scroll below to slide five to see) along with a mirror selfie of her cool-girl 'fit (slide 10), she finished the look with a washed grey t-shirt, black leather belt and black loafers, looping the Alaïa Le Teckel bag over her arm.
We're not the only ones loving this look with one follower taking to the comments section to write, “Ashley please for the curvy girls where is that grey skirt ensemble from i desperately need it all.”
This isn't the first time Ashley has worn the skirt, debuting the item during New York Fashion Week paired with a football jersey-esque top.
A '90s denim maxi was a staple in our wardrobes throughout last summer, so consider Ashley's revival of the trend a green light for you to dig your own back out, too.
If you missed out on the look the first time around, it's not too late to shop a grey denim maxi. Of course, Ashley's exact design may be a tad out of budget (retailing for £545) but the high street has plenty of other options. And, if you want to create your own leg slit moment, simply grab a pair of scissors and get slicing.
