Ariana Grande is finding some humor in her Glinda transformation!

While speaking with Variety as part of a cover story also featuring insight from her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo and the blockbuster's director Jon M. Chu, the 31-year-old multi-hyphenate joked about her blonde eyebrows for the film — which she's opted to keep as she continues promoting Wicked.

“Glinda required a lot of vocal work for me," Grande said. "Certain things maybe won’t melt away. Some will, but I’m really grateful for the pieces that will stay with us forever. What a beautiful thing to be left with, and to feel the ghost of every day.”

“And, you know, I’m still looking for my eyebrows," she joked. “I’ll let you know if I find them — I hope I don’t.”

This isn't the first time Grande has discussed the impact of Glinda's style, as back in November, she shared an Instagram video in which she detailed the process of getting Glinda-fied for Wicked. As Grande explained, the character has even changed her perspective on how she does her own makeup.

"Glinda’s makeup kinda made me transform my entire look and my entire relationship to makeup. I just love it so much. Love, love, love," said Grande.

"There’s no, like, thick eyeliner. There’s no, like, heavy crease. It’s just, like, really warm and open and pretty and, you know, the lashes are in, like, a cat shape, which still gives you the, like, cat eye lift that I usually love, but it’s also just a more honest representation of what you look like. It’s just like, oh this is an eye."

Frances Hannon, makeup and hair designer for the film, previously told PEOPLE in November that Grande "absolutely loves makeup" and that she worked with Hannon's team to find Glinda's look for the film.

"We very much tried to keep her very light and iridescent, keeping with those wonderful costumes," Hannon said. No harsh lines, everything soft. We kept her very youthful — lifting up the outer corner of the eyes, lifting up the corner of the lashes."

Grande also incorporated her own beauty brand, r.e.m. beauty, in the character's look — with Hannon sharing that the star would put r.e.m. beauty interstellar highlighter topper in miss mercury on her nose "as her sort of final touch before she left the makeup trailer."

"It was a very cute touch that Ari had for her Glinda," she added.

During a previous interview with Variety in December, Erivo — who portrays Elphaba in Wicked, explained that she also put her own touch on her character. As she explained, she “asked if we could reimagine" Elphaba's hair as micro-braids.

"Because I knew you’d still have the movement, and you could still have the length, but there was a texture that was slightly different to what you would normally see on stage," she said. "It was a direct connection between me as a Black woman and Elphaba as a green lady."

She's also discussed how Elphaba's long nails were another way she connected to her while bringing the character to life.

"I was doing the research for this character, and I noticed that the original Wicked Witch had nails," The Grammy winner said in a video shared exclusively with PEOPLE. "I wanted a progression. How she grows as a witch and a woman. Some people wear makeup, I always have my nails done. It’s like another extended way of expressing myself."
