Anne Hathaway Celebrates Upcoming Year of the Snake in Sculptural Oscar de la Renta Gown and Serpenti Necklace at Bulgari’s Shanghai Exhibition Launch

Anne Hathaway shimmered at the opening ceremony of Bulgari’s Serpenti Infinito Exhibition on Wednesday in Shanghai, celebrating the upcoming Year of the Snake in the lunar calendar. The Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by such high-profile figures as Jean-Christophe Babin, group CEO of Bulgari, and actress Liu Yifei.

Hathaway opted for a sculptural gown courtesy of Oscar de la Renta’s spring 2025 collection. The gold tea-length, strapless dress featured a full skirt and crumb-catcher bodice. The bodice of the dress also featured a fitted element and a cinched waist for added definition.

Hathaway continued the gold color motif with her heels, opting for a pair courtesy of Loubiloo. As for her accessories, Hathaway opted for jewelry pieces from Bulgari, including glittering earrings, a cocktail ring and a one-of-a-kind Serpenti necklace from Bulgari’s newest collection, made of gold with blue and pink gemstones.

When it came to her glam, Hathaway opted for a classic look with rosy cheeks, bold brows and eyes and an added pop of color with a red lip. The actress’ hair was pulled back into a tight chignon with a few wisps of hair to frame her face. Hathaway regularly collaborates with stylist Erin Walsh.

Oscar de la Renta’s co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia turned to floral inspiration for their spring 2025 collection. The pair used the rose as a key motif in their designs, featuring looks with stained glass elements, rosette-printed denim and ornately designed floral crochets.

Hathaway has been a brand ambassador for Bulgari since 2022. The Oscar-winner joined Zendaya, a fellow brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house, in the “Unexpected Wonders” campaign. Prior to the campaign’s debut, Hathaway styled pieces of Bulgari jewels to the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, officially announcing herself as the brand’s latest ambassador.

The actress walked the red carpet wearing a custom white sequined column gown by Armani Privé paired with Bulgari’s Mediterranean Reverie necklace and a matching sapphire ring from the brand’s high jewelry collection.

Since her addition to Bulgari’s roster of ambassadors, the actress has continued to attend events for the brand and wear Bulgari jewelry pieces on the red carpet. In 2024, she starred alongside Zendaya and Liu Yifei in the “Eternally Reborn” campaign.
