It’s time for another cheeky little recap. Short and sweet this week because one word - SPORT.

You’re telling me that freaking sports has bumped Bachelorette on a Thursday night? Is this some kind of sick joke? Way to take us 10,000 steps backwards. From Queer dates to freakin straight men running around kicking a ball. Cheers mainstream TV.

Anyway, I digress. Let's get into it shall we? We tune in and straight up things are a little bit tangy from Jamie-Lee vs. old Ryan lie detector saga last week. Jamie-Lee was hoping for the single date card so she could clear the air with Brooke but new gal Millie got the date card. They have a winter wonderland, do a bit of painting, watch Grease (weird flex for a single date, but I dig it )they pash, Millie gets a rose and yeah that’s all I’ve got for you on that one. I feel Millie has come in too late in the game so it’s hard to know if this is a thing. Plus, we’re over half way so I am thinking no.

The group date this week is one I am 100% HERE FOR! AT LAST! A group date that is absolutely worth it. Our very own Bachie Mardi Gras parade. The group is split into two teams to make their own floats. There’s colour, there’s wigs, there’s straight men fully embracing it all.

Konrad and Abbie Chatfield’s Byron pash

Konrad is absolutely in his element, blowing kisses, dancing, grinning like a Cheshire Cat. But I have to say one thing, everyone is losing their minds over Konrad with a K. He really seems to be quite a front-runner and Australia’s most current golden boy. And don’t get me wrong, he seems well above average as we do know the bar can be quite low sometimes. The sad fact now is that we know he won’t be the one at the end with Brooke (not unless he’s a cheater cheater pumpkin eater) because homeboy wanted his cake and to eat it too and was caught out publicly pash rashing our very own Bachie alumni Abbie Chatfield, who both know the drill.

I mean I get it, we all need to eat. But I guess I am a little more salty than the average punter because I know how much goes into this love safari experience and how much you just want everyone involved to do their part and you know, perhaps not give away the ending at all. Like, is it that hard to make out behind closed doors these days when you’re both hot property in the TV world at the moment? So now when I watch Konrad with a K, all I see is him getting up close and personal with someone who isn’t Brooke. Now we know he isn’t the one at the end, can we perhaps replace his airtime with people who we don’t know won’t be the last man or lady standing?

This is an investment God damn it, and they threw a spanner right into this investment. I have thrown my toys out of the pram on this topic and I will move on from. End of rant. But Konrad, you have broken our damn Bachie hearts by not spoiling the ending.

The cocktail party

The team are still in their Mardi Gras attire and our girl Brooke has an outfit change. What a damn LEWK! I think everyone at that cocktail party lost all of their minds over that outfit. I’ve never seen quite the reaction which is a sad one for me as I lived this experience and felt more excitement about her entrance than any of my own. Good times.

Can I just say how freakin delicious Brooke and Holly are together. The chemistry is next level and their chats are always just so much YES. You can just feel how smitten they are with each-other. Holly gets an out of rose ceremony/date rose - Hometown bells are ring-a-ding-dingin.

Jamie-Lee is on a mission to get some alone time with Brooke to clear the air about the Ryan saga from last week's episodes. I feel Jamie-Lee already explained herself swimmingly last episode and she really needn’t have brought it up again. But I also get that it is a show we are watching and we need the drama. Jamie-Lee went to lengths to prove her dedication to Brooke (again) and even created a little love timeline book. Photos of them together out of the mansion, in the mansion and it seems as though Brooke is going to leave it in the past where it belongs.

Rose ceremony time

Can I just say that the image of Konrad in that red wig in a rose ceremony looking all serious will forever live rent free in my head. Also, thank-you Osher for wearing a leopard print tie tonight. You’re truly the bees knees.

Two people leave this week, Steve (who?) and Taje. I have to say I am spewing that she left over some of the other fellas. But, the heart wants what the heart wants.

It’s hard to say if we will get to see this missing Thursday night episode. This one episode was so wholesome and colourful that I am not even that sad about there only being the one. Other than sports just ruining my time once again.

Until next week lovers x
