What do you buy the man who has everything? A $250,000 typewriter, of course. That’s what Angelina Jolie bought her new husband Brad Pitt as a romantic wedding gift.
We’re sure you have guessed already, but this isn’t just any old typewriter. It once belonged to American writer Ernest Hemingway, who reportedly used the typewriter in the 1930s. He even wrote For Whom The Bell Tolls - his 1940 masterpiece about the Spanish Civil War – on it.
The typewriter was part of a collection by Los Angeles Police Commission President Steve Soboroff, who also owns typewriters once owned by John Lennon, Tennessee Williams, Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio.
