The new year is a great time to rethink routines, purge clutter and simplify your life. Personally, I'm focused on upgrading my tech setup this year, so I'll be grabbing these Apple AirTags to ensure I never lose my belongings again. If the dramatic winter weather caught you off guard, a warming mug or sunrise alarm clock could make your morning and nighttime routines more enjoyable. Many of these would even make great gifts for birthdays and special occasions throughout the year.
Of Amazon's 122 (to be exact), these are the 20 products that our editors can't live without in 2025.
FreeSip Insulated Water Bottle
Why we like it: The Owala FreeSip is a favorite of Nicole Papantoniou, director of GH's Kitchen Appliances & Innovation Lab — where she tested over 35 water bottles last year. She loves that you can drink out of the spout or tilt it upwards to take bigger gulps.
What to know: The Owala FreeSip comes in 16-, 24-, 32- and 40-ounce sizes and a bunch of fun color options. The brand recommends hand-washing, but Papantoniou puts hers in the dishwasher and hasn't noticed any difference.
Japanese Barbecue Sauce Variety Pack
Why we like it: Bachan's is one of our favorite barbecue sauces, but it goes far beyond smoked meats in my kitchen. I use it as a condiment for just about any weeknight meal (think: grain bowls, noodles and all sorts protein). If you're tired of sriracha, try this.
What to know: Bachan means “Granny” in Japanese, and this sauce was inspired by the founder’s grandmother. The Original is described as “umami-filled” and “teriyaki-ish” in flavor. This variety pack also includes Hot & Spicy, Miso and Yuzu (the latter of which is my favorite).
AirTag 4-Pack
Why we like it: There's no reason to lose valuables in the age of modern technology. AirTag was named our best luggage tracker, and they're tiny enough to slide it into a wallet, backpack or keyring. There are even AirTag collars to keep track of your pets!
What to know: AirTags are only suitable for iPhone owners as it uses the Find My app for tracking. It has a built-in speaker that can ding on app command to help close in on a lost item.
Harvest 2.0
Why we like it: In AeroGarden testing, we found that herbs and lettuce grew so fast, they needed to be harvested every few days. The kit includes an adjustable grow light, seed pods and plant food. No soil is required, and there’s a light that tells you when it's time to add water, which makes it very easy to tend to.
What to know: AeroGarden surprised customers last fall by announcing it was closing, and due to an outpouring of support, reversed course. While we await the company to resume operations in spring 2025, you can nab the editor-loved indoor gardens on sale on Amazon.
Ring 4
Why we like it: Olivia Lipski, senior reviews writer and product analyst, loves the Oura Ring for it's convenience and easy-to-understand metrics. It provides a readiness score, which is an overall combination of your sleep, activity and more, to indicate how well your body has recovered. She also says it blends in well with other jewelry.
What to know: While Oura Ring has been around since 2015 (10 years!), it exploded in popularity in recent years.

Sparkling Prebiotic Soda
Why we like it: Prebiotic soda was a hit in the last year. It's a hybrid between traditional soda and seltzer, with added prebiotics to support your gut and less added sugar. Poppi is one of the most popular brands.
What to know: We consulted registered dietitians about the benefits and side effects of prebiotic soda. While they will affect everyone differently, it's a good way to fill the gap in your diet if you're one of the 95% of American adults who don't get enough fiber (about 25 grams/day for women).
Restore 2 Sunrise Alarm Clock
Why we like it: The new year is a great chance to reset your sleep schedule. In addition to the slow-brightening lamp that mimics the sunrise, this smart alarm clock also has a library of guided meditations, relaxation exercises and ambient sounds (like "forest birds") to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. "I used to need five to six alarms to wake up in the morning but now I wake up almost instantly," says Grace Wu, product analyst.
What to know: A subscription is required to access the full library of content, like the bedtime wind-down exercises ($4.99/month or $49.99/year).

237 V1 Sneaker
Why we like it: The "dad shoe" trend isn't going anywhere, and it's ushered in a major comeback for New Balance sneakers. You can't go wrong with any of the brand's retro, 90s-inspired styles, and we love that this one comes in 40+ colorways.
What to know: GH fiber scientists and podiatrists agree that New Balance shoes offer great support and stability. Form and function? We love to see it.
9900 Prestige Electric Toothbrush
Why we like it: If you're willing to shell out for a high-end electric toothbrush, our experts recommend this luxe model from Philips Sonicare. It boasts premium features like the ability to track missed spots while brushing and auto-adjustments of its vibrations if you brush too hard. This pick earned the highest overall score in our Lab tests, making it worth the splurge.

QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones
Why we like it: Immerse yourself in crystal-clear sound with our experts' best overall noise-cancelling headphones. After comparing this model to the Bose 700, Lipski preferred the QuietComfort Ultra for its immersive spatial audio and superior efficiency at cancelling out low-frequency noises like airplane e engines — making it a stellar choice for frequent flyers. Plus, she appreciated its intuitive on-ear controls that make it easy to pause music, skip tracks and more.
What to know: These headphones offer an impressive 24-hour battery life and come with a protective case. They're available in five neutral colors: black, lunar blue, sandstone, white smoke and diamond.
Wool & Cashmere Shampoo
Why we like it: We're fans of The Laundress'upgraded laundry staples, and this wool and cashmere shampoo is a winter wardrobe hero. "I was impressed by how soft my sweaters felt after hand-washing and air drying them. They weren’t stiff at all," said Carolyn Forté, executive director of the GH Institute's Home Care & Cleaning Lab. "They were clean, soft, fresh-smelling, and I felt like I had really pampered and taken good care of them."
What to know: Be sure to check the care instructions before washing your sweaters. If it says "dry clean" (but not "dry clean only") you may be safe to hand-wash. We've used this on knits including cashmere, merino wool, mohair and more.
Speedcross 5 Trail Running Shoes
Why we like it: Winter weather is here, and you're going to need footwear that's up for the challenge. We're huge fans of Salomon's hiking boots, and these trail shoes should get the job done while earning you style points (Salomon is a cult-favorite brand). I live in New York City and always reach for my trail shoes on slippery, wet days when I need a little extra traction on the sidewalk.
What to know: The shoes have a rugged outsole with 5mm rubber lugs for traction, and a water- and debris-resistant upper, according to the brand. This particular style comes in five colors.
Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men
Why we like it: Guys deserve fancy skincare, too. Dubbed our beauty experts' best face moisturizer for men with oily skin, Kiehl's moisture treatment impressed our testers with its lightweight texture and fast-absorbing formula. It's infused with ascorbyl glucoside (a vitamin C derivative) and caffeine, which can help brighten and smooth skin.
What to know: This moisturizer is formulated with menthol, which gives it an invigorating scent and cooling sensation. However, those with sensitive skin may find this ingredient irritating.
Hydro-Star Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches
Why we like it: Not only do these star-shaped hydrocolloid patches look adorable, but they can help heal acne faster by creating a moist environment and keeping bacteria and dirt out, according to our beauty experts. Best of all, they're a great way to prevent you from picking at your pimples.
What to know: This 32-pack of pimple patches comes in a refillable compact with a built-in mirror — how thoughtful!
Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer Spray (3-Pack)
Why we like it: Since the pandemic, hand sanitizers are more popular than ever — but few options are as convenient as Touchland's Power Mist. Sabina Wizemann, director of our Beauty Lab, loves the brand's unique packaging, which reminds her of a perfume bottle rather than a hand sanitizer. It's also infused with aloe vera and glyceryl ester, making it less drying than other hand sanitizer formulas.
What to know: This hand sanitizer set comes with three 1-ounce bottles, and each bottle contains 500 sprays, per the manufacturer. They're available in scents like citrus grove, lemon lime spritz and frosted mint.
Health Food Prebiotic Body Lotion
Why we like it: Combat harsh winter weather with a body lotion, like this pick from OUI the People. It's infused with nourishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and joboba oil to hydrate and maintain the skin's moisture barrier, according to the manufacturer.

Theragun Relief
Why we like it: Soothe sore muscles with a massage fun from our experts' top brand pick. We love it's easy to pair and control via app to keep your beverage at an optimal temperature.

All-Physical Ultimate Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50
Why we like it: A good sunscreen is an essential part of any skincare routine, and this mineral option from Dr Dennis Gross was a stellar performer in our Beauty Lab for its hydrating, white cast-free formula. One of our testers noted that its luxe texture felt like a cosmetic product rather than a sunscreen.
What to know: This zinc oxide-based mineral sunscreen provides broad spectrum SPF 50 protection. It claims to be water and sweat-resistant for up to 80 minutes, according to the manufacturer, although we haven't tested these claims in our Lab.
Original
Why we like it: From nostalgic adults to 8-year-olds, Tamagotchi was one of our favorite gift ideas this holiday season. Cailey Lindberg, commerce editor, says that taking care of her Tama reminds her prioritize self-care and stay in a positive headspace.
What to know: ICYMI, Tamagotchi was one of the most popular toys of the late-1990s, and it's made a major comeback (landing a spot on Amazon's Top 100+ list almost 30 years later!). The egg-shaped monitor houses a virtual pet that you can care for, play with, give medicine to and more to "raise" it into adulthood.
