Almost Friday Media, the digital content network and comedy production hub born out of the Instagram meme account Friday Beers, has signed with Range Media Partners.

As Variety reported last week, Almost Friday is developing a television project based on its short-form “Entrapranure” series, a satire of the alpha-male, “grindset” archetype. A TV pilot is being produced in partnership with Danny McBride’s Rough House Pictures (which is also signed to Range) and starring Chester Collins as the ruthless motivator Royce du Pont. The company has a handful of other projects in the works as well.
Almost Friday was founded in 2019 by brothers Max, Jack and Sam Barrett, who first built an audience with their Instagram account Friday Beers, which targets men aged 21-34. The meme page grew into a lifestyle brand that encompasses merchandise, newsletters and a real-life bar in Nashville. Now, the company wants to produce the kind of irreverent bro comedy that has slipped off the big screen, like “The Hangover” and “Old School.”
The Almost Friday team also includes president and COO Andrew Kenward, head of sports and unscripted content Jacob Selzer, scripted content boss Tyler Falbo and head of sales KC Murphy. The brand’s sketch comedy team includes talent Will Angus, Liam Cullagh, Eilise Patton, Billy Langdon, Collins, Will Donnellon and more. They perform live under the name Almost Friday TV.
Almost Friday Media also continues to be represented by WME.
