Alix Earle Recalls 'Scary' Experience Finding Out About Braxton Berrios' Injury: 'Felt All the Blood Rush from My Face'
Alix Earle opened up about almost canceling her Halloween bash after Braxton Berrios' season-ending injury on her podcast
Alix Earle's epic Halloween Bash in Los Angeles almost didn't happen.
On the latest episode of Hot Mess with Alix Earle, Earle, 23, revealed that she questioned canceling the party after her boyfriend Braxton Berrios suffered a season-ending injury during a Miami Dolphins game against the Cincinnati Colts on Oct. 20.
"I was like, 'I want to cancel this party, I don't want to do it,' " Earle recalled. "I was talking to [Braxton] about it and he was like, 'Don't cancel the party. You're already going to be in L.A. and have so much fun.' "
Days later, Earle threw an Alice in Wonderland-themed Halloween party in Los Angeles on Oct. 25 as she dressed up as the Cheshire Cat.
Earle also recalled the "scary" and "stressful" experience of hearing about Berrios' injury after she landed in New York. "Right as I turn the game on, they said, 'Braxton Berrios [was] in the tent with an injury' and that's the last thing you wanna hear," she explained.
"I couldn't see the game, so I didn't know what type of injury. That could mean anything," she continued. "I'm in the airport like I literally felt all the blood rush from my face... and Braxton calls me and I pick up. I knew right away that it was bad and just hearing his [voice], I've never heard him like that before."

Since Berrios' injury, Earle has been supportive of him during his recovery process. She recently told PEOPLE at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards that she planned to fly back to Miami to be with him ahead of Halloween.
"He’s just always been so positive and such a good reinforcement in my life, so I’m happy to be able to be there for him," she told PEOPLE. "I have no doubt he’ll come out on the other side even better."
Earle later shared an update on Berrios on her Instagram Stories on Oct. 29, revealing that he underwent surgery as she shared a video of the wide receiver being wheeled out in a hospital bed.
"Here’s to a successful surgery & now onto recovery,” she wrote over the video. “And always with a smile on his face."
Earle posted a second photo where she held Berrios' hand alongside three black heart emojis.
