Alicia Silverstone, 46, sparks furious debate with nude photo: 'Too much'
Clueless star Alicia Silverstone has shocked fans as she bared her all in a new campaign for animal rights group PETA.
In a post shared on Instagram by the organisation, the 46-year-old is seen holding her hands across her chest and private areas, leaving the rest of her body on full display. Her long blonde hair tumbles down her shoulders while she dons nothing but a pair of brown vegan leather boots.
The star is part of a campaign encouraging people to not wear items made of animals and instead switch to alternatives like vegan leather.
"Don't be a p***k, wear vegan," the campaign slogan reads.
Some fans praised the star for her nude photoshoot, with one calling her a "vegan queen".
"Obsessed," one commented on the ad.
"Love her," another wrote.
"Stunning," a third added while a fan said, "Absolutely beautiful".
The post however sparked furious debate with many slamming the wear vegan campaign.

"That's too much," one wrote.
"I don't understand why she's naked," another said.
"You completely delegitimise your message when you go for 'attention' and 'views'," a third commented.
"There's no message, she's just naked," somebody added.
Others pointed out however the star clearly posed naked to suggest she would rather wear nothing over animal leather or items made from animals.
In a video explaining her decision to do the shoot for PETA, Alicia said vegan leather was more sustainable.
"I never ever get naked, in TV, in film, nothing. Never. Nope," she said.
"But I've done it for PETA because that's how much it matters to me.

"There's this idea that leather is somehow better for the Earth, but what they don't realise is the amount of resources, water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary. It's just not sustainable. The Earth can't handle it.
"They're using mushroom leather. They're using pineapple leather, cactus leather ... and I think that's incredible."
The star added it was her dream to get vegan materials into the hands of designers to create more sustainable products.
"I'd rather go naked than wear animals," she said.
