Alexis Mabille’s Dresses for Spring 2025 Were Designed for Dancing Until Dawn
With his ready-to-wear capsule of eveningwear, Alexis Mabille wants to offer his fans easy-to-wear, comfortable reinterpretations of his couture creations for on-the-go lifestyles. For spring, he accompanied his customer through a night on the tiles to the new day beyond, evoking the colors of the glistening dew at dawn in his pastel color palette with touches of shine.
The clean lines of his tailored silhouettes were familiar territory, intentionally so, enveloping the body with long sleeves and full skirts. Embellishments were kept to a minimum — it was all about the cut and the fabric — with the exception of a couple of designs featuring lace or embroideries on their sleeves and shoulders. Jeweled button details punctuated belts and cuffs, and a halter-necked number was embroidered with thousands of tiny sequins in diagonal stripes.

A gold wrap dress had batwing sleeves and a double-layered skirt for extra twirl, while a coat dress in silver blue used a specially developed satin Lurex with a sheen, rather than a shine.
Shirt and tuxedo dresses in satin and crepe had tone-on-tone collar and cuff details and were offered in muted shades of lilac, pale pink and blue as well as ivory and beige. Standouts included a beige crêpe smoking dress with a crossed shawl collar in contrasting satin. Mabille’s signature bow detail, meanwhile, came in the form of the voluminous necklines on full-skirted satin bustier designs in lavender or ivory.
